Board of Supervisors

Lewis Conservation District is governed by a board of locally elected volunteer members. Board meetings are open to the public and are held at our office and virtually every fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. Join us on Zoom.

Dave has served on the board for 21 years, demonstrating a passionate commitment to agricultural producers in Lewis County. In addition to his role at the district, Dave is the president of the Southwest Washington Growers Association, treasurer for the Washington Association of Conservation Districts, partner in the Fenn Farms partnership and the Farm Store, commissioner for both Lewis County PUD and the Boistfort Fire Department.

Marvin Courtney has served on the board for 30 years and has been an integral member of the Lewis County farming community since 1974. Currently, Courtney Farms harvests chickens, beef cattle, hay and timber. 

Donna Moir has been a proud owner of Moir Country Farms since 1988 where she raises pastured turkeys for the community.

Chris is in his third term serving in one of the elected Supervisor positions. A wholesale Christmas Tree farmer since 1978, Chris owns and operates Natives Northwest Company with over 200 acres, harvesting over 12,000 sustainably grown trees each year. Chris is on the Lewis County VSP workgroup, the WSDA Christmas Tree Licensure Advisory Board, and appointed to the Real Christmas Tree Promotion Board. Formerly a native plant grower and nurseryman, Aldrich is a Landscape Architect and Planner with RB Engineering in Chehalis.

Bruce McDonald is a tree farmer and an American Tree Farm inspector. He is a retired forester who has worked for Washington Department of Natural Resources and US Army Forestry and an accomplished Wildland firefighter. His goal is to help farmers stay on the land and prevent farms from being converted to houses.
